Best Affordable Hotels to Stay in Boston

Updated: Apr 13, 2020

1. The Revolution Hotel

This hotel is a great representation of what new hospitality looks like. The industry has been transformed and this property has adapted rather quickly to this new era. The brand combines the innovation the city of Boston brings and the needs of this new era of travelers.

This Boston hotel offers very unique room styles such as bunk quad rooms for a whole family or group of friends, loft suites, and regular king and queen rooms. You can choose a bunk room for a more affordable price and some of them have a shared bathroom outside the room. There are bathrooms in each floor with individual bathroom stalls that have a shower so it’s convenient and you do have that level of privacy. To learn more, watch their video. Hotel bathrooms

The hotel offers a variety of options for any travel purpose but what it’s unique is all the cool amenities it offers. Two of them that I think are SO necessary are a pillow menu, and a conspire day pass, which allows you to use their co-working space.

Their common spaces include a fitness center equipped with the famous peloton machines, the Think Tank room for group meetings with unlimited coffee, and a very original Mexican restaurant called Cósmica.

This hotel has 2 stars and their rates are very cheap for the city of Boston. Their rates can go lower than $100 per night not including high season. The best part is that you are ensured to enjoy a very distinctive experience. Book directly on their website and unlock all their amazing offerings!

2. FOUND Hotel Boston

This hotel is also a 2-star property located near Back Bay but more in the Downtown Boston area. They have VERY affordable room prices even though it's in a great location.

They have 63 rooms in total so it's a very small property. Two of them are considered bunk rooms that can accommodate a big group of family or friends. You definitely get that Bostonian feeling because of the brick building style it has.

However, the rooms and common spaces are very"economical"looking. The picture below it's the common area in the second floor. They do not offer cool amenities as the Revolution Hotel does, which is why I place them as number 2. They actually only offer complimentary coffee and tea in their small lobby.

Found Hotels have a few properties in other cities like Washington DC, Miami, San Francisco, etc. They are known for offering local fun designed properties that are also very affordable too.

With the Found Hotel in Boston, You get what you pay for, this option is the best if you are on a really low budget but want to have a local experience in Boston.
